The Secrets Out

Anne has seen the Sirens and their names are Chuck, E., Cheese. We kept it hidden as long as we could, but last Thursday Anne was invited to her sweet friend, Annie's, birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese.
As a child I loved Chuck E. Cheese. I think I only ever got to go three times and that was when we went to visit my cousins in Ft. Worth. I just assumed that there wasn't a Chuck E. Cheese in Tyler, but I recently learned that we did have one and my parents had kept the truth hidden from Chad and I. Well, history has repeated itself, but Scott and I weren't as successful as my parents in keeping the truth from our children.

All this being said, I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was bright, clean, and I'll admit it, FUN! Anne and Abby had a ball and I had a ball watching them. The staff was very friendly and made sure the party ran smoothly. They filled the children's glasses, passed out pizza, and added a lot of excitement. We are very thankful to have been invited to Annie's party! We can't wait until next year!

Michelangelo

I finally busted out Anne's Christmas present from Uncle Mark and Aunt Ashley. She painted for over a hour and created several masterpieces. Half way through her marathon painting experience she announced that she needed and artist hat to finish off the rest. You can see the one she chose in the picture. Anne is such a good little girl!

Grammy and Grandpa

A couple of weeks ago Grammy and Grandpa came for a visit all the way from California! The girls were excited to see them, especially Anne. We had lots of fun together and Uncle Mark, Aunt Ashley, and Baby Landon came down for the day, too. We are blessed to have a close family and we can't wait to go to California to visit!

Spoon

I might be a little slow this time around, but sometimes I just forget what motor skill milestones my second child is suppose to be pursuing. Now, that being said, I handed over the spoon to Abby last Sunday and she did pretty well. Several successful spoonings would be followed by turning her spoon backwards and using the other end. I'm optimistic that she'll have this spoon thing down in no time and I won't have to worry about bringing a bib to the restaurant when she's sixteen.

Happy Birthday Eli!

Last Friday we celebrated Eli's first birthday party! The girls had a blast. Eli loved his cupcake. I think Krystal did a super job on the cake. It was delicious. I know because I ate some. After cake Eli crawled all around the room like he had turbo boosters. When Eli was still Abby would scoot close to him and touch is foot or head and then giggle. Eli would scoot close to Abby and touch her WITH his head other wise know as head butting. In the wise words of Anne, "Girls are girls and boys are boys."

Easter Egg Hunt

When we came home from church on Sunday the Easter Bunny had hidden eggs in the back yard for the girls to find. Anne was a super egg hunter and Abby managed to find a few on her own.

We had a wonderful lunch with friends and family. Granny, Grandma, Uncle Chuck, Aunt Sandie, Papa, and Gran'ma.

Abby didn't quit make it into the picture. She is a little off to the right of Papa.
