Anne Turns Six

Anne's birthday party isn't until Saturday, but she officially turned SIX Tuesday.

She requested doughnut holes for breakfast and tacos for dinner.

After dinner we took the girls to see BRAVE.

It was a little intense for Anne.

She only saw a quarter of the movie because her eyes were covered the other three quarters of the time.

Abby always resembles the Joker from Batman after her Starkiss.

The Pool Step Five: Decking

The decking is finished.

 Next will be plastering and the pool equipment installation!

Abby is happy to have Anne back at work now that summer has arrived.

David's Birthday

Daivd is a little boy from Anne's kindergarten class.

 Anne and Abs swam and swam. 

I think they might start growing gills.

He had a pool party and fun was had by all!

The Pool Step 4: Gunite, Tile, Coping

Abby insisted on putting her swimsuit on to get in the pool.

 Anne had been practicing ballet/tap.

The past two days the workers added tile and flagstone coping.

We are getting closer!

Gra'ma's B-day 2012

We celebrated Gra'ma's birthday this weekend with hamburgers and cake.

The Pool Step Three: Rebar

He said they were doing a good job.

We were so excited when they put the sign in the yard I had Anne go outside and stand next to it so I could take her picture.

Church Picnic 2012

 We had a blast this year at our annual church picnic.

Scott and the guys played basketball until they all dropped from exhaustion.

The girls sat down by the lake, chatted, and watched the kids.

 We started things off with a little barbeque.

The Pool Step Two: Digging

This is what I saw outside my window last Monday morning.

 It was dig day.

Now all we need is some water!

The Pool Step One

We are getting a pool.
Please hold all your negative comments

When you tell people your getting a pool they immediately want to share all there pool horror stories.

It's like when you tell people your expecting a baby and they instantly share all their traumatic birth/pregnancy stories.

Stephan came over and helped my dad and Scott cut down the one tree that had to be removed. 

It was very dramatic.

Stephan is the father of a young family and I was concerned that we would have to take Colette and the boys into our home if things went bad.

Garred's

 

 We spent last Friday evening living it up with the Garred family!

 Ginger raked in the end of the awards. 

She was the Brown Hero for her grade and scored a 3rd place Spelling Bee trophy.
