The Azalea Trail 2012 (Tour of the Azalea Belles)

Gra'ma and I took the girls to see the flowers in bloom, but things changed quickly from flower admiring to Azalea Belle collecting.

The Azalea Belles are high school girls who volunteer to dress up like southern belles, stand outside different homes on the tour, have their picture taken, and impart bits of historical information. Anne decided that she wanted to have her picture with every single one. Abby was always a bit to shy to have her picture taken with the girls, but eagerly searched them out with Anne.

Mommy Daughter Date

Anne and I went to Piddlin Pottery for a Mommy-Daughter Date.
I get to spend a lot of one on one time with Abby because she isn't in school yet so I thought I would take Anne out for a little on one one time.
We painted pottery and ate Dilly Bars.
It was wonderful!

Great Grandma's 90th Birthday

Last weekend we celebrated Great Grandma's 90th birthday!
I turned the camera over to Anne and she took most of these artsy photos.
As we drove up for the party I was tried to explain to the girls why Grandma's 90th birthday was such a big deal, but Anne wasn't having it.
She said,
"Well Mom, Noah lived to be 229!"
I don't know if that statement is exactly accurate,
but needless to say ninety did not impress her.

(I took these two)

Potty Doll

Abby finally went potty!
I bought this doll ages ago as a reward/bribe for going potty.
It sat on the china hutch and collected dust for a few months and then was regulated to the sun room until one day, out of the blue, Abby went number 1 in the potty TWICE!
She has been pretty consistent since then save a few accidents.
She even made use of the airplane bathroom on the way home from San Fransisco.
Fingers crossed, I think we will soon be out of the diaper stage.

Bigfoot

The weather as been pleasant and mild lately!
One afternoon Anne decided to create Bigfoot foot prints, Bigfoot is big here in East Texas. There's an annual Bigfoot enthusiast conference each year in Tyler.
I've never been.
Well it turned into a mud bath for both girls.
Their skin looks fabulous!

Cousin Landon's 2nd Birthday

This past weekend we went to Frisco to celebrate cousin Landon's 2nd Birthday.
Landon is the girls only male cousin . . . so far and they love him!

Friday after school we met Uncle Mark (Scott's Brother), Aunt Ashley, and Landon at Chili's in Frisco for a little birthday dinner and cupcakes.

After a stop at the mall we bedded down at Uncle Mark and Aunt Ashley's house. We needed to get our rest so we would be ready to PAAAARTAAY at Chuck E. Cheese in the morning.

After Chuck E. Cheese we came back to the house to play, play, play, until it was time for the family party. Ashley's sister Reagan whipped up some SUPER yummy enchiladas for dinner.
Ashley's parents and two sister's, and Gran joined us for the fun.

That's Gran in the blue shirt teaching Abs and Landon how to play with legos!

Saturday was Anne's dream come true. Chuck E. Cheese in the morning, then a movie, and finally lots of time spent playing video games on Kylie's (Ashley's little sister) iPhone.

Landon's dinosaur cake! WOW!
The Birthday Boy!

Daddy's smiling face as he drove us home.
He was not driving when I took the picture.
He always keeps his eyes on the rode!
We were in the drive-thru line at the DQ.

Valentine's Day

I started off the Valentine marathon at Abby's school. She and her buddy Maggie wore the same dress. These two are so funny. They are the only two girls in their class.
Anne's school Valentine Day party went great. I did pretty much the same thing I did for the Christmas/Winter Party just with a Valentine theme. There were three boys in her class that had birthday's that day, too.

This is the Valentine craft the kids made.

Papa made Gra'ma a crown and new purse.

The day wouldn't have been complete without a little dress-up.
