and fun was had by all!
"The nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string." - Anne of Avonlea

Easter 2013
The morning began with Easter baskets.
This is the best picture I have of the four of us.
After church it was time for egg hunting.
Inspecting the loot!
Great Granny and Great Grandma brought the girls Easter goodies.
It pays to live close to your family!
After egg hunting we enjoyed a delicious family dinner with Uncle Chuck and Aunt Sandie.
I didn't have a chance to take a pic I was busy eating :)

Uncle Jay
Uncle Jay (Scott's step-brother) came for a visit Friday.
The last time he was here the pool was a giant hole in the ground.
After dinner we headed down to fire pit for s'mores.

They flew in to Dallas from San Fran and stayed with Uncle Mark and Aunt Ashley.
The girls were thrilled to see there cousins again and we all had a wonderful time together.
We started out the weekend at the Galleria in Dallas.

We started out the weekend at the Galleria in Dallas.
WAHOO!
We woke up Saturday morning and drove over from our hotel to Mark and Ashley's for a day of fun
.
Kelsey is an excellent baby!
Landon showed the girls all is fun games on the ipad.
Anne was enthralled!
The kids enjoyed some wrestle time with Scott.
After lunch we went to the Fair Park Kids Aquarium.
Grandpa is encouraging Anne to touch some of the life in the petting pond.
Anne touched a sting ray and it was soo cool.
I touched one to by the way, but I couldn't manage a picture of myself and touch the rays all at the same time.
We loved our hotel and got a really good deal:

Chicken Update III
When we were away for the weekend there was a cold in Tyler.
My dad quickly constructed a winter home for the chickies to put inside the Monkey House.
The girls refer to the cabin as the Monkey House.
My mom and dad had to pull the "Winter Home" up the hill in our yard, heaved it over the fence, and put it inside the cabin.
Mom was ready for us to come home and take care of the chickens.
We found out this week that the ladies love parsley.
Watching chickens can be therapeutic.
We have spent quite a few afternoons sitting in the sun observing these not so intelligent creatures..
The chickies take daily sand baths to prevent parasites from moving into their feathers.
Also very entertaining to watch because they all want to bath in the same "tub" at the same time.
Anne looooooves the chickies!
