"The nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string." - Anne of Avonlea

Cousin Landon's 3rd Birthday!
Last weekend we traveled to Frisco for Landon's 3rd birthday! The girls had a blast!
Uncle Mark and Aunt Ashley rented a bounce house and were able to keep it until six o'clock.
The girls bounced for three hours!
After bouncing we went to Plucker's with the family for wings and fried pickle spears then headed back to Tyler.
Thank You Uncle Mark and Aunt Ashley for a great Saturday!
We got to meet our sweet new niece
Kelsey Kate
Some how I forgot to take any pics of her, but here's one I borrowed from Facebook.
Isn't she beautiful!

The Usual
I have been asked lately if there is anything new with us.
My reply, "The usual."
Below are a few pics of "The Usual"
Anne reads a lot!
She would prefer to watch TV a lot.
Abby dresses up in "dress-up dresses" a lot
and that's what she prefers.

Abby's Family Party 2013
Check out that face! Ha!
We had the usual crowd at the party.
Great Granny, Great Grandma, Uncle Chuck, Aunt Sandie, Gra'ma, Papa, and us.
Per the girls request I served tacos.

Anne was a big help passing out the presents.
And not to break with tradition the sibling of the Birthday Girl received a gift as well!
Great Granny created that tradition and I think its wonderful!

Caterpillars IV: The Release
After waiting for all five butterflies to emerge and stretch their wings we decided that it was time for
THE RELEASE.
We waited for a warm sunny day, went out to the field, and opened the cage.
The butterflies needed a little coaxing, but eventually they all emerge and fluttered off into the sunset.
I can see how those people who rescue wild animals, nurse them back to health, and release them back into the wild become so crazy passionate about it.
It was incredible to watch them fly off to freedom.
I don't want to think what really happened to them that night.
I choose to imagine they have made their way to Mexico to ride out the rest of winter.
In fact I wasn't going to be surprised if they showed up at our kitchen window the next morning looking for more oranges to eat.
Thanks Uncle Chad, Aunt Katie, Sofia, Emily, and Sullivan for a wonderful gift!

Catapillars III: Chrysalis
Look closely and you can see the
(5) chrysalis.
I always thought they were called cocoons, who knew?
